Tell us about yourself along with a fun fact!
I am a sixteen year old girl (sophomore in high school) from Warren, New Jersey. I first became interested in coding and computing when I designed my first website when I was six years old that was about dogs! Since then I began coding in Scratch and Kids Ruby when I was eight and have now learned HTML, Java, MIT App Inventor, Swift, Python, Basic, and C.
I am the student facilitator of my Girls Who Code club, the director of communications at coderGirls, a curriculum developer at Code Circle, and have been honored as a 2017 NCWIT Aspirations In Computing National Honorable Mention and New Jersey Winner!
I am also working on creating a not-for-profit involving children with special needs and am working on creating an animated movie short about a girl in tech. Besides coding, I am a clarinet player in a school’s jazz band and a project coordinator for Jersey Cares, an organization which helps New Jersey residents volunteer at various events.
FUN FACT: Mi instruis al mi mem paroli esperanto ( I have been teaching myself to talk in Esperanto!)
