Women Who Reign: Khushi Gandhi
Paula Abdul once said, “All you can be is the best you can be.” I heard this quote nearly 6 years ago, and it has been so deeply rooted in my mind that I will never be able to forget it. We can’t please everyone in our life. We can’t match all the things that are expected out of us. Yet, all that matters is that we are the best possible person we can be and that we know that whatever the outcome, at least we put our best effort in. This speaks to me on a daily basis and I always make sure that whatever I do is what makes me happy and I do my absolute best so that I know that I gave it my all.

My name is Khushi Gandhi and I am currently a student at Middlesex County Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies where I am currently studying civil and mechanical engineering. I will be a senior for the 2017–2018 school year. I plan to pursue financial engineering in college, combining my passion for business and engineering. I am also serving as a Teen Advisor for Girl Up, a campaign under the United Nations Foundation that works to give girls all around the world access to safety, education, and basic human rights. I have been involved with Girl Up for the past 4 years and it has changed my outlook on global issues and made me more aware of problems that women face all around the world.
