Technical and/or life challenge you’ve faced and how you overcame it:
My first year on the crew team, I was very unconfident in my ability to contribute. Most of my teammates had been in the sport for over 6 years and I felt way out of my depth. Over the course of that first year, I came to appreciate novice-ness and love it. I appreciated the fact that novices do have something to contribute to a team comprised mostly of experienced people.
